Howard Eisman

 

Howard Eisman has been enamaling (fused glass on metal) for numerous years and has had many exhibitions at Figureworks. Colorful, reflective and durable, his work is suitable for home and public spaces, frequently used outdoors.

His work is notable for content, color, and scale. Having designed his own kiln, he has the ability to fire large panels up to 36", making his work unique by enameling standards. It is also unusual that he often uses copper as his base, which he hammers to create surface highlights and deep pockets that pool with intensified color. The translucency is exquisite and is often accentuated by his opaque use of silver and gold.
