Susan Newmark had her first solo exhibition of her books and collages at Figureworks in 2006. She and at the Brooklyn Public Library (Journals: Seen and Recalled) in 2005. Her work is currently on view in The Singular Object at the Brooklyn College Library and in Play at Proteus Gowanus and has been included in recent group exhibitions at The Pelham Art Center (The Artist and the Book); The Parish Museum ( The 39th Juried Exhibition) and the Brooklyn Museum of Art (OPEN HOUSE/Working in Brooklyn). She has had residencies at the Lower East Side Printshop and the Womens Studio Workshop and directs the visual arts program at the Abrons Arts Center of Henry Street Settlement on the lower East Side of Manhattan.
